SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls Police say that 16 juveniles have been arrested over the last month linked to the recent shootings on the east side of the city.
Spokesman Sam Clemens says they can’t give specific information or specific charges, based on guidance from the courts.
There were at least 13 separate reports of gunfire in a matter of weeks.
Recently police held a town hall meeting because of community concerns. They asked for help in identifying suspects and asked that residents call police if they see anything suspicious.
Mayor Paul TenHaken has said that juvenile gang members are responsible for most of the gunfire.
