SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — An hours-long police standoff in central Sioux Falls on Monday ended peacefully.
The man who had been holed up inside an apartment complex near the University of Sioux Falls, was taken into custody.
Swat teams used flash bangs and loudspeakers to help entice him out. He was possibly armed with a knife, so police needed to proceed cautiously.
The standoff was apparently related to an earlier unspecified domestic situation.
Roads were blocked for two hours near 22nd and Summit.
