SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Avera Health has translated coronavirus information into eight languages, with two more on the way.
Jason Knutson, a family medicine physician with Avera, said in a release “there’s a lot to understand” about the virus, and “we needed all our patients, regardless of what language they speak, to have access to this rapidly evolving information.”
Avera has translated a 14-page toolkit with information about symptoms, social distancing, hygiene, and other items into Arabic, Amharic, Bosnian, Karen, Kunama, Nepali, Spanish and Swahili. The company is working on translations in Vietnamese and Korean.
