SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — First responders in Sioux Falls are looking for donated cloth masks to help them slow the spread of COVID-19 during their work.
First responders use cloth masks when working with each other or the public. They use more protective N95 masks when around patients.
A release said the city is looking for 600 cloth masks to boost its supplies of existing personal protective equipment.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Avera Health both have online instructions for how to sew masks.
Those with masks can drop them off at Sioux Falls fire stations, or mail them to SFFR Station 3, 2820 South Minnesota Avenue, Sioux Falls, SD 57105.
