SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Iowa gets hit with another derecho.
The National Weather Service says the line of storms that impacted Iowa and portions of surrounding states on December 15th meets the criteria for a Serial Derecho.
This is a bit different from what Iowa saw in August 2020.
That was a progressive derecho.
The serial derechos are in a longer line of storms than a progressive derecho.
The progressive derechos form more quickly.
