WATERTOWN, S.D. (KELO.com) — South Dakota House Speaker Spencer Gosch is being sued for allegedly violating the state’s open records laws.
Gosch refused requests to turn over the names of lawmakers who signed a petition for a special legislative session to consider impeaching Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg.
Plaintiffs in the lawsuit are the South Dakota Newspaper Association and the Sioux Falls Argus Leader.
Senator Jim Bolin of Canton says when it comes to impeachment, the House will need to act first.
Hugh Bartels of Watertown is a State Representative in District Five. He says there hasn’t been much impeachment talk among his colleagues yet…
Ravnsborg is facing potential impeachment next month for his role in a car crash near Highmore that killed a pedestrian last year.
The state senate has released its members’ votes on calling a special session for impeachment.
