The Golf Show Wednesdays 9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m. is a chance to talk golf, golf business, life and golf and this year find "Projects" that could represent your troubles on a course.
In this week's show, Dr. Max Reinecke, long time chiropractor and Dr. Tim LeeBurton, Speciality Orthopedics talked about bad body parts and parts to Tiger Woods that have him wondering if he will return to the glory rounds of the past. Dr. Reinecke suggested for Tiger it might be pelvic instability. Dr. LeeBurton just back from a trip with a group of golfers to Scottsdale, Arizona said that he was able to help one of them on the course finish the round and identify what was bothering him.
Dave Austad -- traditionally in this show every Wednesday asked for a pass today. As Austad's prepares to open its 10th Store in Cedar Rapids on April Fool's Day -- he met with his managers. He'll write in his golf picks for the PGA stop in Tampa at the Valspar Copperhead event.
Paul Doherty, Golf Etc. met with our "Project 1" in our Golf Show series that runs through September 3rd. Dave Scaturro who bought clubs in Texas from a teenager was told the clubs are excellent, but they don't fit Dave's game. Scaturro has opted to be my golf partner in a business league that plays at Elmwood on Monday night's but doesn't believe in Santa, the Easter Bunny, or having GWIN handicap cards. They just set their own computer course to fit whichever way the wind blows. Regardless, you'll enjoy Dave, Project ONE, trying to figure out how to get the most out of his swing. Our other Golf show partners will him with fitness, body parts, and other factors during the next six weeks.
Adam Scott, Golf Addiction is busy with Great Life. With two new courses added in Canton and Garretson simulated golf courses will be big from 57th and Marian across our area. Scott and another well know golfer Johnny Miller (no not the mouthy one from Utah) have 50 simulated courses to play tournaments and tee times taken morning to night. The next golf event at Golf Addiction is March 22nd. Call to enter.
Donn Hill, Great Life Golf updated our audience on Woodlake Fitness, Embe and said look for another 9 hole course to be added soon.
Coralee Jorgenson who heads the 1st Tee Program spoke with us from LaQuinta, California where she is coaching the Augustana Golf Team playing in a Spring Event through the weekend with teams from around the country. Augustana has been the national tournament six years in a row.
Randy Derheim---Pinnacle helped close our show --- having finished 2nd last week in the Yahoo Fantasy Golf. He called Golf a Team Sport. Randy manages the restaurant properties with Callaways, Tre, Foley's, and Elements on 8th. Randy knows just how to bring together life and golf.
