VERMILLION, S.D.—South Dakota head men’s basketball coach Craig Smith has added Logan Power, a 6-foot-4-inch forward from Lincoln Christian High School in Lincoln, Neb. Power averaged 21 points last season in earning all-state honors for the Crusaders.

“We are excited to add Logan to our program,” said Smith. “He was an outstanding three-sport athlete at Lincoln Christian High School. He’s versatile and has a mind for the game. With his focus on basketball, we can’t wait to watch him develop into the player he wants to be.”

Power was also an all-state football player for Lincoln Christian, which finished with a 9-2 record last season. At quarterback, he passed for 2,257 yards and 28 touchdowns and ran for 945 yards and 17 scores. On defense, he registered 47 tackles including eight sacks.

On the court, Power was named a first team Class C-1 honoree and a third-team Super-State pick by Lincoln Journal Star after averaging 21.3 points and 10.8 rebounds. Power was a four-year starter for the Crusaders and played in three state tournaments. His team won the Class C-2 state championship in his freshman season.

Power maintains a 3.99 grade point average and is a member of the National Honor Society.
