SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM0 - Senator John Thune says railroads have worked down backlogs and delays are much shorter.
Thune says the head of BNSF told him that they hope to have the backlogs cleared by the end of July.
Thune says timing is important because those cars ned to reading to roll by harvest. He says porducers don't want a repeat of backlog and delay that they endured this spring.
Thune says he’ll work closely with the Surface Transportation Board to keep the railroads to their word.
