USF Football announces spring ball schedule

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KWSN)- USF football released its spring football schedule on Tuesday, as the team is prepared to hit the field for the first time tomorrow afternoon.The Cougars will hold a total of 14 practices from March 26 to April 23 before hosting the annual spring football game on April 25 at 7:30 p.m. at Bob Young Field.All sessions are open to the public.The sessions will run Monday, Wednesday and Fridays, split between the afternoon and early mornings, while two full scrimmages will be held on Sat., April 12 at 8 a.m. and Thurs., April 17 at 4 p.m.

The Cougars went 6-5 last year to notch the program’s 20th consecutive winning season. Fifth-year head coach Jed Stugart owns a 33-12 record (.733) at USF and a career mark of 59-19 (.756).USF will host Minot State in its 2014 season opener on Sept. 4.
