Undated (KELO-AM) The National Weather Service says that over 8 inches of rain fell in a 24-hour period in and around Canton, the most rainfall from Monday's near biblical deluge.
There was a rescue near Canton just in the nick of time. County Emergency Manager Harold Timmerman says that some construction workers were on a project when they were caught in the swift moving flood waters. They climbed on a bull dozer. Timmerman says the water was up to their chests by the time they were rescued by boat.
