Washington, DC (KELO-AM) USA Today reports that Congressional negotiators on Monday approved a new farm bill. Congress could vote as early as the middle of the week.
The newspaper reports that the compromise would save an estimatedd $24 Billion over 10 years, with about a third of the cuts coming in the food stamp program.
South Dakota's Kristi Noem (R) was one of the conferees. Before word of the compromise, Noem put a new video on Youtube, called 'From Field To Fork'. The video points out that the farm bill is just not about farmers.
