PIERRE, S.D. (KELO-AM) – State Transportation Secretary Darin Bergquist announces that Arlen “Arnie” Hauge of Sioux Falls has been appointed by Gov. Dennis Daugaard to a three-year term on the South Dakota Aeronautics Commission.

“Arnie’s education and experience as a pilot and businessman will be great assets to the Aeronautics Commission,” Secretary Bergquist said.

Hauge succeeds Larry Nelson who served for 24 years on the commission.

Other commission members include: Larry Nelson of Rapid City, Vernon “Skip” VanDerhule of Yankton, Eric Odenbach of Eureka, Chris Funk of Madison, Chad Hatch of Sioux Falls and Travis Lantis of Spearfish.
