Lieutenant Jerry Miller says the additional squad cars will hit the streets after Saturday's Saint Patrick Day's parade in downtown Sioux Falls.

Miller says officers will watch for the impaired and speeding drivers.  He recommends having a designated driver, take a taxi or walk to a motel and spend the night.

He says police anticipate huge crowds downtown.  The Saint Patrick's Day parade starts at two at 5th Street and Main Avenue.  This year's Grand Marshal is Sylvia Henkin.  The traditional Painting of the Shamrock is at 11:45 a.m. at 9th and Phillips
