A new poll from Politico says a majority of Republicans want immigration reform. According to their recent poll, 64 percent of GOP respondents favor comprehensive immigration reform.
Support is even higher among Democrats (78%) and Independents (71%).

You can bet these latest poll results will be used like a bludgeon on conservatives. Moderates have been desperate to pass immigration reform in hopes of wooing more Hispanic voters.
If Republicans pull the rug out from underneath the conservative base on immigration reform, you can bet they'll pay the price in the upcoming mid-term elections.
