Minnesota cafe ignites minimum wage debate

by Greg Belfrage

The Oasis Cafe in Stillwater, Minnesota has ignited a national debate on the minimum wage. The cafe recently started charging customers a 35 cent minimum wage fee.

The cafe's Facebook page has been inundated with critical reviews from foaming at the mouth over the surcharge. The anger, bitterness and envy of many on the left is on full display.

The last post is the most maddening. In other words, it's okay if the cafe raises prices... just don't tell anyone that its due to the minimum wage increase. Wow.

It's easy to see the hatred and disdain that many have for business, even small family businesses like the Oasis Cafe.

If you're a Facebook member, you can read more reviews HERE .

The reality is that any arbitrary increase in minimum wage is going to result in increased prices for all consumers.

Kudos to the owners of the Oasis Cafe for having the courage to point it out.
